Last updated: 2026. This notice describes how TRANS OCEAN LLC handles personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law of the Sultanate of Oman (Royal Decree 6/2022) and its Executive Regulations (Ministerial Decision 34/2024).

1. Who we are (Data Controller)

TRANS OCEAN LLC, P.O. Box 820, Azaiba, Postal Code 130, Sultanate of Oman, is the Data Controller for the personal data described in this notice. Where we process data solely on behalf of a client, we act as a Data Processor under that client's documented instructions.

2. Scope and what we collect

This website is an enquiry channel only. We use the details you submit solely to respond to your enquiry and coordinate any resulting logistics service — normally by contacting you through our WhatsApp channel. We do not collect more than we need.

The website itself does not store your enquiry and does not send it anywhere. The form builds a message and opens it in your own WhatsApp, where you press Send; delivery is made from your WhatsApp account. If you prefer email, write to us directly at [email protected] from your own mail application. Nothing you type into the form is transmitted to or kept by this website. We use no advertising or analytics cookies.

Please ensure the information you give us is accurate and up to date, and tell us if anything changes.

3. Why we process it

4. Legal basis and consent

We process personal data on the basis of your explicit consent, which you provide by submitting an enquiry, contacting us, or messaging us. In some cases processing is necessary to perform a contract with you or to comply with a legal obligation (for example customs or transport documentation).

We use your data only for the purpose for which it was collected, unless the law permits otherwise or you consent to a new purpose.

Marketing and commercial communications are sent only where you have given separate, optional consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

5. WhatsApp and other messaging channels

We use WhatsApp as a primary channel to receive requirements and to share quotations and documents. When you message us on WhatsApp, your data is also processed by Meta Platforms (WhatsApp) under its own terms and privacy policy; Meta acts as a separate controller for that processing and we are not responsible for its practices. We use WhatsApp in line with the WhatsApp Business policies.

Please do not send card numbers, bank details or other sensitive information through chat. See our WhatsApp & Communications Policy for full details.

6. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal data. We share personal data only:

We put Data Processing Agreements in place with our processors to ensure a level of protection not lower than that required by the Oman PDPL.

7. Cross-border transfer

Some of our service providers store data outside Oman. Where personal data is transferred abroad, we rely on your explicit consent, ensure the transfer does not compromise national security, and carry out a Transfer Impact Assessment to confirm the recipient provides protection not lower than the Oman PDPL.

8. Retention

We keep enquiry and marketing data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and for legal obligations (for example, commercial and transport records). Website enquiries are not stored by the website at all; they exist only in the WhatsApp conversation or email inbox they were sent to. Chat transcripts and delivery details are retained for at least 3 months unless you ask us to delete them earlier. When no longer needed, data is securely deleted.

9. Your rights

Under the Oman PDPL you have the right to:

To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We respond within 45 days as required by the Executive Regulations.

10. Security and breach notification

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — including access controls and protection against unauthorised access, leakage or misuse — and maintain systems to recover personal data after an incident. If a breach risks your rights, we will notify the Ministry and affected data subjects as required by the PDPL.

11. Cookies

Our website may use cookies to improve your experience. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work as intended. Third-party services we link to (for example, WhatsApp) have their own cookie and privacy practices, which we do not control.

12. Minors

Our website and services are intended for business users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

13. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, and changes take effect once posted.

14. Complaints

If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully, contact our DPO first. If unresolved, you may lodge a complaint with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) under the PDPL framework.
